Safety features

L-DOOR sectional doors come with a whole range of safety features.

Obstruction sensor (standard)

This pneumatic safety device is fitted into the bottom rubber of the sectional door. As soon as the door comes into contact with something, the safety device is activated and the door immediately stops in its tracks.

Spring-break device (standard)

If one of the torsion springs was to decrease in tension or break, this feature ensures that the sectional door immediately comes to a halt when it is in the process of closing.

Wicket-door safety guard
(standard with electrically operated doors)

This particular safety feature ensures that the motor cannot be started if the wicket door has not been closed properly.

Cable-slack device (optional)

As soon as there is any chance of the cables derailing, the cable-slack device is activated and the motor locks.

Cable-break device (optional)

This safety feature prevents the sectional door from falling down if one or both lift cables were to break. Our sectional doors meet all the provisions of the European directives, are in conformity with the machinery directive (2006/42/EC) as stipulated under article 10 of the RD of 05/05/1995, and comply with all the prevailing regulations and the General Regulations on Industrial Safety (ARAB) and Belgian Standards Body (NBN) standards.

Your sectional garage door has all the required declarations of conformity for the door, the motor and the spring and cable-break devices. What’s more, all our logistical equipment is installed by SCC (Safety Checklist for Contractors) certified technicians.
